
There are only three things I can bake with puff pastry: the twist, the danish, and the upside down tart. These easy recipes are fool proof and customizable to any flavors you’d like. I don’t consider myself a baker, but after making these recipes, you will feel like a professional!
Guava Cheese Pastelitos




Step 1. Cut out equal shaped rectangle pieces of puff pastry.
Step 2. Place 1 tbsp of cream cheese and 1 tbsp of jam onto the center of the pastry piece.
Step 3. Cover with another pastry puff piece right on top.
Step 4. Gently press down edges of the pastry with a fork to seal both pieces together.
Step 5. Cut 2-3 slits onto the top center portion of the puff pastry.
Step 6. Brush on egg wash and sprinkle turbinado sugar.
Step 7. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Upside Down Puff Pastry Tarts




Step 1. Cut out equal shaped rectangle pieces of puff pastry.
Step 2. On parchment paper, place 1 tbsp of jam then 3-4 thinly sliced apples right on top.
Step 3. Cover with a pastry puff piece making sure the apple slices are well covered.
Step 4. Gently press down edges of the pastry with a fork to seal the pastry puff to the parchment paper.
Step 5. Brush on egg wash.
Step 6. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
Puff Pastry Twists




Step 1. Cut out equal shaped long and thin rectangle pieces of puff pastry (roughly 2 inches by 6 inches)
Step 2. Spread goat cheese (or cream cheese) onto the pastry and 1 tbsp of jam right on top.
Step 3. Gently fold in half and twist each end in opposite directions about 3 times.
Step 4. Brush on egg wash and sprinkle turbinado sugar.
Step 5. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
